Pathfinder character

Post by SpartanCommander »

I'm now scared due to a few things my GM and other players are reclassing and redoing my robot cowboy into a summoner's class due to how rare tech is and how heavily guarded it is here it's currently going to have to be that after reviving my character something goes wrong and an origional personality my character had that was over written activated and then the character's body reconfigured.

Now this leads to one thing My character is somewhat arrogant but has a massive superiority complex. Now this leaves the question to why someone would over write the personality of one with a personality that would be farily annoying to deal with. The only answer is...the old personality is worse. The New guy is going to be even more of a firm believer that he's better than everyone else and he has the charisma now to possibly convince others of it. (with the leadership feat) He's probably going to have other quirks like chatting up females of any species and possibly may try to seduce ones as well. Who knows But this is going to be an interesting thing now I may have created a monster.

Also if anyone has suggestions I'm willing to listen especially if anyone has ideas on how to properly handle a pathfinder summoner. (so far I got some idea on how it works but if anyone has experiance with it let me know...Even my GM has no clue how they work. Although at level 12 a DR or 5 Adamantium for a construct Eidelon is awesome. I'm allowed to alter every monster summon I have and use a construct type eidelon so now I can summon a robot army. Well one at a time I think depending on a few thing but it's interesting.

sorry I can't help. I tend to stay away from spell casting classes.
Too much headache.
bad enough I gotta deal with Paladin spells, lol, if I had a whole book I'd be doomed.

Well thinks anyway normally I do stay away from them but as I play with this particular GM it quickly becomes clearer if you don't have a spell class or something your not going to hit any of the opponents or take down anyone even if he's an office worker (The AC for a guard who doesn't notice me and I"m using sneak attack and I miss him 3 times before he notices me. Another that I score a crit sneak attack and it doesn't take a different guy who is also no one extraordinary and he just tanked it..and I had a ninja.

He says we have so many people he has to raise the difficulty. (quite frankly the way he raises it makes to worried to do anything by my self even if he characters personality would do some things along but even if we do things alone the CR of all the encounters our characters will have will be the difficulty CR for the entire party and not for one guy so here we can have 2 bit thieves who are level 10 with magical items and special magic bags that allows them to pull what ever they want so they don't waist turns. He only just recently sent after us anti party guys who are so heavily decked out in magical gear specifically used to counter the party they easily killed my second character after sundering his weapon from a distance with +20 anti construct arrows. To make things worse all their gear is specifically cursed so it's useless for people who don't worship the main antagonist of the story. Hence why I switched to this class. (looking at what you can do I can make a huge creature with a DR of 5 to 10 and as long as this thing is alive I can't die so that could be useful.

Well looking it over I"m basically playing 2 characters at once. I'm quite litterally playing as a tech class without tech.

Hmmmm
Honestly I wouldn't have the little grunt baddies more difficult. The main baddies yes I can understand. But if the group is so big I'd make the trash baddies easier to make things go faster. If that makes sense

I would understand that I would actually appreciate more low level guys in exchange so we can get a handle on how powerful our characters are (I hate the fact he gives everyone improved critical). You know when we were at level 4 or 6 he had us fight the aliens from the aliens movie and when you kill one they explode. The alien queen had reach and rapid reaction so the fighters when they needed to get in range to make sure they could strike if the queen moves to the back row she can hit us up to 15 feet away from her through every square. and she occasionally jumps onto the room bypasses the front line and jumps back down to attack the back ling guys forcing us to constantlly brave the reaction strikes. (that and the whites with ability damage stuff...then their was the mages disconjunction. we only had one scene where the opponents were lower level than us but we also ahd to contend with a high level Vampire lord and a major antagonist which was a former party member who when the player left he told the GM that he was going to join forces with the main antagonist. Sorry it's just a bit annoying when in such a diverse world but it seem's like everyone is on a level near one one lower than you but has better equipment. The only low level guys are people the GM seems to want to kill for plot like the entire village that got wiped out because he sent a Titan class fighter who's possessed by a balor against the party when we were level 8. It's hard fighting a guy with a DR of 10. Then after killing him he self destructed dealing apparently 70 damage to those who missed the saving throw. the blast radius enveloped the entire village. Apparently the blast radius a baylor has for it's self destruct is huge. I might be ranting.

Incidentally speaking of paladins It was so funny when in another table we heard someone describe one of the players characters and suddney the game stopped as all the players and GM turned to the other table. We all heard a Nudist, Paladin, Monk. That's what the player character was so naturally it got everyone's attencion.
